The Samara linear production and dispatch station in Russia’s Samara region has been attacked for the fourth time since the beginning of October.
The damage was reported by analysts from the OSINT project Absolutely Reliable Source, who published satellite imagery of the facility.
According to the analysts, the station was attacked at least four times in October: on October 2, 7, 10 and 11.
As of October 11, all RVSPK-50000 tanks at the facility had been damaged or destroyed, along with approximately 40% of the RVS-20000 tanks.
RVSPK-50000 tanks are vertical steel storage tanks with floating roofs and a nominal capacity of 50,000 cubic meters each.
Militarnyi previously reported a strike on the tank farm on October 7. At the time, four RVSPK-50000 tanks were destroyed at the Samara-2 oil pumping station site.
Their combined capacity was approximately 200,000 cubic meters, or about 170,000 tonnes of oil.
The Defense Forces carried out the first strike on the Samara linear production and dispatch station this month on October 2. Five RVS-20000 tanks and one RVS-50000 tank sustained significant damage.
The Samara linear production and dispatch station, located near the settlement of Prosvet, is a major hub for receiving, storing and blending Russian crude oil.
According to Ukraine’s General Staff, crude oil arrives at the facility through trunk pipelines from Tatarstan, western Siberia and other Russian oil-producing regions.
The station blends crude oil with different sulfur contents to produce the Urals export grade. The General Staff also says the facility helps meet the needs of the Russian armed forces.
The facility comprises the Samara-1 and Samara-2 oil pumping stations, a separate oil-blending station, and a large tank farm.
