The bridge in the area of Kakhovka Hydro Power Plant is no longer suitable for use – OC “South”

The Operational Command “South” reported that the bridge over the Kakhovka HPP is not operational.

This was reported by the OC “South” as of 11:00 on August 10 in the release on their Facebook page.

They emphasized that the missile hit was accurate and effective.

“Our fire control of the transport and logistics routes in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region led to the reassuming the status of the bridge in the area of the Kakhovka HPP as unfit for use. The hit was accurate and effective,” the report said.

Information about the bridge being unusable was also confirmed by the Kherson Regional Military Administration. They noted that the bridge was put out of order by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Serhiy Khlan, Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, released a photo capturing the destroyed administrative building of the Kakhovka Main Canal and noted that the invaders are placing their equipment in close proximity to the strategic infrastructure.

“The Russians are settling and deploying their equipment near strategic infrastructure such as the Kakhovka HPP and the Kakhovskaya Main Canal. However, our Armed Forces have been working and will continue to work accurately. The task of our military is to drive out the Russians and not to damage important objects, and even more so, to save people,” he wrote.

During the night, local online communities reported explosions in the Nova Kakhovka district.

As previously reported, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to attack bridges in the area of occupied Kherson.

On August 8, they yet again targeted the Antonivskyi bridge and the dam in Nova Kakhovka.

The invaders are using ferry crossings to move between the right and left banks of Dnipro.

At the same time, those are separate for civilian and military use. The day before, one of those crossings was recorded on the satellite images.

The photo shows trucks that are used to transport ammunition, weapons, and food.
