On the night of July 11, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 28 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov.
This was reported by the commander of the USF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert ‘Madyar’ Brovdi.
The strikes targeted 21 tankers, four tugboats, two dry cargo ships, and one specialized vessel. In total, Ukrainian operators recorded 73 successful hits.
According to Madyar, over a six-day period—from July 6 to July 11—Ukrainian drones struck a total of 76 vessels.
The USF claims that as a result of these attacks, vessel traffic through the Kerch Strait has come to a halt.
The following units were involved in the operation to strike the vessels: the 414th Unmanned Strike Aviation Brigade ‘Madyar’s Birds’, the 20th Unmanned Systems Brigade (‘K-2’), the 1st Center of Unmanned Systems Forces, the 413th Unmanned Systems Regiment (‘Raid’), the 412th Unmanned Systems Brigade (‘Nemesis’), and the 427th Unmanned Systems Brigade (‘Rarog’).
The USF also stated that overnight, Ukrainian drones struck 53 legitimate military targets in the temporarily occupied Crimea and in the south of Ukraine’s occupied territories. The targets reportedly included Russian Navy ships and energy infrastructure facilities. The operation was named “Crimean Circuit Breaker Off.”
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that during the night of July 10, the Defense Forces struck 18 Russian vessels that were providing logistical support to occupied Crimea.
