Despite unfavorable weather, Ukraine’s PD-2E unmanned aerial vehicle was the largest drone to fly during the International Drone Show 2025 (IDS-2025) in Odense, Denmark.
UKRSPECSYSTEMS said in a statement to Militarnyi.
Throughout its four-hour continuous flight, the drone transmitted live video to the company’s exhibition booth, allowing visitors to assess the quality of its onboard camera and communications system.
IDS-2025, held on June 18-19 at HCA Airport in Odense, was the largest edition of the event to date, bringing together over 1,000 industry professionals from more than 35 countries.
Around 100 companies, including several from Ukraine, showcased their products.
“IDS 2025 was not only a showcase of innovation but also an engaging community gathering that set a new benchmark for collaboration and global reach in the drone industry,” organizers said on the event’s official website. Formal reporting from the exhibition is still being published.
The presentation of Ukrainian UAVs in NATO countries comes amid reports of joint manufacturing projects under the Build with Ukraine initiative and as European nations ramp up rearmament efforts.
In the UK, the CORVUS program aims to replace legacy reconnaissance UAVs. Calibre Defence has identified the PD-2 as a potential contender, citing its “proven performance under Russian electronic warfare and air defense conditions.” The platform also aligns with the British Army’s emerging “20-40-40” combat doctrine.
