Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a Russian military ammunition depot in the Donetsk region.
The strike was reported by the Spy Dossier Telegram channel, which also published video footage from the scene.
The ammunition depot, located in the village of Yalynske in Volnovakha Raion, was hit overnight on August 15.
GEOINT analysis by Militarnyi found that NASA’s FIRMS satellite system detected a fire at the site around the same time.
Sources cited by the channel reported that Ukrainian forces attacked the facility using two strike drones.
The strike caused a fire, accompanied by explosions and the detonation of the ammunition stored at the facility.
The released footage shows thick smoke and audible secondary explosions, which are characteristic of ammunition depots being struck. No casualties among Russian forces have been reported.
Front-line ammunition depots are a critical link between rear supply bases and the occupiers’ combat units. Ammunition is stored at these facilities before being delivered to artillery, mortar, and other weapon positions.
Destroying these stockpiles directly reduces the amount of ammunition the enemy can use on the front line.
At the same time, after losing a depot, Russian forces have to move their supplies to other locations and change their resupply routes.
Servicemen of the 1st Azov Corps of the National Guard conducted a second operation targeting fuel infrastructure and transport used by Russian forces in the Donetsk region.
The operation, dubbed “Hell-2,” followed earlier strikes on Russian military supply routes and logistics depots in occupied territory. As a result of the drone strikes, facilities involved in storing and supplying fuel to Russian forces were completely destroyed.
