President Donald Trump has ordered the suspension of all U.S. military aid to Ukraine.

This was confirmed by reports from Bloomberg and Voice of America.

This decision affects both weapons that were agreed upon for shipment during the Biden administration but have not yet been delivered, as well as those already en route to the Ukrainian border from the United States.

According to a Pentagon official speaking anonymously, the United States is halting all current military assistance to Ukraine until President Trump determines that Ukraine’s leadership has shown a ‘good faith commitment to peace,’ as reported by Bloomberg.

The official added that all U.S. military equipment not yet in Ukraine will be suspended, including weapons in transit via planes and ships or waiting in transit zones in Poland.

As highlighted in the report, this move includes the suspension of critical ammunition deliveries, guided missiles for multiple launch rocket systems, anti-tank weapons, and other essential military capabilities.

A senior White House official also confirmed the suspension of military aid in a statement to Voice of America.

President Donald Trump has emphasized his focus on peace, stating that the U.S. needs its partners to share that commitment. “We are suspending and reviewing our assistance to ensure it supports a viable solution,” the publication reports.

Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing U.S. officials, that the Trump administration had halted funding for the purchase of new weapons for Ukraine and was exploring the possibility of freezing weapons supplies from U.S. stockpiles.

Previously, U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz suggested that Ukraine may need to cede territory during ceasefire negotiations, while Russia should permit peacekeepers ‘under the auspices of Europe.’

He also noted that the question of American security guarantees, or the lack thereof, remains a subject for further discussion.

‘‘It should be a European-led security guarantee, with Europe making a partial contribution to its own security,” Waltz stated.
