The Security Service of Ukraine has prevented Russia from circumventing previously imposed sanctions related to maintenance of the AN transport aircraft.

The SSU established that Russia had registered a shell company in a Middle Eastern country, which supposedly has nothing to do with Russia.

This would allow the invaders to “legally” service heavy transport aircraft around the world.

“Due to proactive work of the SSU, the relevant Ukrainian agencies revoked the maintenance certificate for the foreign ‘mediator’ of the aggressor country,” the statement reads.

The SSU also announced that from now on, Russia will not be able to repair its cargo planes manufactured under the license of Antonov State Enterprise in any country.

“This will significantly affect the occupiers’ logistics, as they used more than 10 heavy AN-124 aircraft to transport personnel and heavy armored vehicles over the course of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine,” the SSU noted.

Recently, the SSU stopped a plant operation planning to supply production for the Russian military-industrial complex.
