Law enforcement officials have detained at least one suspect in connection with the arson of an LPP Holding facility in the Czech city of Pardubice.

The arrest took place in Slovakia, where the suspected group of arsonists fled immediately after carrying out the attack on the night of March 20, according to the publication Novinky.cz.

Meanwhile, the radical pro-Palestinian group The Earthquake Faction issued a demand to the company to cease cooperation with the Israeli firm Elbit Systems by April 20, threatening to publish stolen internal documents.

However, LPP Holding’s management denies any current cooperation with Israel, explaining that plans for joint drone production dating back two years were never implemented.

A fire in Pardubice completely destroyed the production facility and severely damaged the administrative building of the Ukrainian subsidiary Archer, which manufactures thermal imaging devices.

Representatives of the holding company estimate the losses at hundreds of millions of korunas and note that both facilities will most likely have to be demolished. The police are officially investigating the incident as a terrorist act, involving the National Center for Combating Terrorism, Extremism, and Cybercrime in the case.

Czech intelligence agencies are examining the theory of a “false flag” operation, in which a previously unknown radical group serves merely as a cover for the activities of foreign intelligence.
