Soldiers of the 14th Regiment of Unmanned Aviation Systems destroyed a Russian Buk-M2 air defense system.

The regiment’s press service published a video of the attack.

The footage captures an aerial reconnaissance unit using a drone to detect a Russian air defense system in a field.

Due to the drone’s small size and the system’s mobile configuration, the enemy did not notice the Ukrainian UAV in the sky.

The strike was carried out with high accuracy using the HIMARS rocket system.

Additionally, an MT-LB and a Ural truck were hit, which may have been part of the system and used to transport certain equipment.

Recently, Russian troops have been suffering heavy losses in air defense systems, which are actively destroying the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

This applies both to the air defense systems under the command of the army and to the systems of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Ukrainian military used the Switchblade loitering munition, which destroyed a Buk launcher.

A Shark reconnaissance drone of the aerial reconnaissance forces was monitoring the Russian launcher and adjusting the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian air defense system was transported by a tractor that stopped in the village of Sarabash (formerly Komunarivka) in the Donetsk region.

The Switchblade drone had to travel more than 30 kilometers from the front line to hit the launcher.
