The Posipaky unit, part of the 39th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, shot down a new Russian K-8 Dvushka drone in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
This was reported on social media by the company General Cherry.
This aircraft is a new development by the enemy, which was marketed as resistant to electronic warfare measures.
To eliminate the aerial target, the fighters used a Ukrainian Bullet interceptor drone.
Russia first unveiled this drone in 2024, but its detection on the front lines began only recently.
The UAV is designed to strike enemy positions and to support its own military logistics.
The K-8 Dvushka’s technical specifications allow it to reach speeds of up to 150 km/h, making it significantly faster than the Russian Molniya drone (70–120 km/h).
In addition, this unmanned aerial vehicle is capable of carrying explosives or delivering other payloads weighing up to 5 kg.
The developer of this unmanned aerial vehicle is the Russian company Veles Logistic from Novorossiysk.
Among the UAV’s features highlighted by the manufacturer is the ability to launch it by hand.
The developers also claim that the system has minimal deployment time, and preparation for takeoff takes only a couple of minutes.
The UAV is capable of performing flight missions in challenging weather conditions, including wind speeds of up to 20 m/s.
