Prefabricated bridge handed over by the partners used in the Kharkiv region

In the Kharkiv region, prefabricated bridges, which were handed over to Ukraine by partner countries, are being installed.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that in Kharkiv region, a passage over 7 destroyed bridges has already been ensured.

About 450 km of roads and communal streets of Izium, Balakliia and Kupiansk were cleared by the forces of road workers in the liberated territories of the region.

“Road workers are dismantling artificial structures on the roads. Also, in the region, passage over 7 destroyed bridges has already been ensured,” the ministry said in a statement.

Work is currently underway to build temporary crossings and detours near six destroyed artificial structures.

Also, the Ministry of Infrastructure released a photo featuring foreign prefab bridges being used.

In September, it became known that temporary bridges are being brought to Kharkiv region from the Czech Republic and France.

“Bridges and structures are humanitarian aid to Ukraine, to quickly restore the infrastructure destroyed by Russia,” said Andrii Ivko, deputy head of Ukravtodor.

The structures are temporary, over time they will be replaced by permanent ones.

23 artificial structures were destroyed in Kharkiv region. Damages in the region reach 46 billion hryvnias. 25 billion of them are in the territories de-occupied in September.

As previously reported, Germany is also preparing bridge systems and platforms for transporting heavy weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The German government will hand over 10 bridge systems, three medium bridge systems and 90 heavy-duty trailers for the transportation of heavy weapons to Ukraine.
