Poland and the Netherlands have also provided Ukraine with air defense missiles for Patriot systems as part of a previously announced package to strengthen air defense.

This was announced by Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov during an address to colleagues at the Ramstein meeting.

These states had not previously officially announced the provision of such weapons for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I thank the partners for their support through the PURL program. To Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland — for the Patriot missiles. To the United States — for the opportunity for partners to purchase the necessary interceptors,” the minister said.

Ukraine recently received a new batch of anti-aircraft missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that partners continue to supply ammunition for the operation of these air defense systems.

“As of now, partners are transferring missiles for Patriot. In particular, a new batch has arrived in recent days. And we continue to work with all partners to ensure that air defense is in place,” Zelensky said.

Earlier, Germany, together with NATO partners, prepared a batch of PAC-3 interceptors for Ukraine, which are used by the Patriot air defense system to shoot down Russian ballistic missiles.

According to information from the Spiegel publication, about 30 interceptor missiles were obtained from several European partners.

As part of this package, Germany transferred five PAC-3s to Ukraine.

In addition, the Spanish government will transfer five PAC-2 s to Ukraine.

These PACs are in service with the Spanish Army’s anti-aircraft artillery regiment stationed at the Marine Corps base in Valencia.
