Over 30 people might be trapped under rubble after the shelling of a high-story building in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region

The invaders struck Chasiv Yar with Uragan MLRS. As a result of shelling, a high-story building was destroyed.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported about this.

He emphasized that up to 30 people might still be trapped under the rubble.

“Two sections of the building are completely destroyed. Rescuers are working at the scene of the attack in an attempt to rescue those trapped under the rubble. According to the local residents, at least 34 people are likely to be trapped there, including a nine-year-old child,” he said.

The rescuers were able to establish communication with two people trapped under the rubble, the rescue operation is ongoing.

Five wounded people and the bodies of six victims were recovered from under the rubble.

Chasiv Yar is a city in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region.

At the same time, the General Staff reported that as of the morning of July 10, the enemy did not conduct active hostilities either in the Bakhmut or Kramatorsk directions. However, the Russian forces were shelling the settlements using mortars, barrel artillery, and tanks. Also, the enemy airstrikes were recorded.

The enemy launched artillery fire in the Avdiyivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia directions. The main goal of the invaders is to restrain the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As previously reported, new Tornado-S missile control modules were discovered in Kryvyi Rih after shelling.
