Ukraine’s Defense Forces are conducting the Vivaldi offensive operation in the Lyman sector of the Donetsk region.

The 3rd Army Corps reported this to Militarnyi.

During the operation, Ukrainian forces cleared the settlements of Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, and Yarova, as well as the outskirts of Korovyi Yar. Ukrainian forces also fully liberated the village of Serednie.

The units cleared 75 square kilometers of territory. Another 10 square kilometers were liberated. The offensive dealt a blow to the combat capabilities of Russia’s 20th and 25th armies.

At this stage, enemy losses amount to about 1,500 personnel and 12,000 drones. In addition, Russian forces lost hundreds of armored vehicles, artillery systems, and other vehicles.

According to the command, unmanned systems units successfully cut the enemy’s logistical routes.

As a result of the corps’ strikes, Russian forces were forced to dismantle a pipeline, move depots, and relocate fuel and lubricant supplies to the Voronezh region, outside Ukraine.

The 60th Mechanized Brigade, the 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade, a battalion tactical group of the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, and the corps’ 25th Anti-Tank Battalion successfully executed the operation.

Attached units also participated in the missions: the 66th Mechanized Brigade, the 85th Tactical Group of the 8th SOF Regiment, the Artan special unit of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, and the 10th Border Guard Detachment Dozor.

“There is a lot of information in open sources now that the ultimate goal of our offensive actions is to reach the banks of the Chornyi Zherebets River. But our operation is called Vivaldi. And, as we know, Vivaldi has four seasons. And this is only the first of them,” Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi said.

The Air Assault Forces, together with other units of the Defense Forces, previously conducted a successful offensive operation in the Oleksandrivka sector.

The operation began on January 29, and since then Ukrainian troops have regained control of more than 745 square kilometers of territory and liberated 26 settlements.
