National Guard of Ukraine soldiers captured Russian Majors

In the Kharkiv region, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine conducted successful counteroffensive actions.

During the counteroffensive, Ukrainian forces captured 15 Russian soldiers.

The Command of the National Guard of Ukraine reported that two Russian Majors were among them.

“Soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine, together with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continue to liberate settlements of Kharkiv region from Russian invaders,” the servicemen said.

The National Guard also released a video featuring the shootout and then the capture of the Russian invaders, filmed by one of the soldiers.

In the Russian army, Majors are senior officers.

Also, a Russian Major can be a Deputy Battalion Commander.

The Major is preceded by the rank of Captain and after the Major the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, then Colonel and Major General. Russian Major Generals have already been neutralized in Ukraine.

As previously reported, in the Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian defense forces liberated 454 settlements from the Russian invaders.

In the de-occupied territories of the region, 14 police departments resumed their work, 90 educational institutions started online training, 78 first aid stations, 23 local self-government bodies, and 10 branches of Ukrposhta started working.
