“Dronopad” project caused losses to Russians in equivalent of about UAH 226 million

The Come Back Alive Foundation raised UAH 87,661,230 as part of the “Dronopad” (Let the drones fall – ed.) project and used it to support 20 units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

This is stated in the foundation’s press release.

The units involved in the project are the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhaylo Ostrohradskyi, the 126th and 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigades.

In addition, the 38th and 37th Separate Marine Brigades, the Kraken Special Forces of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as Air Defense and State Border Guard Service units are receiving assistance as part of the “Dronopad”.

Thanks to the Foundation’s support, these units have inflicted losses on the Russian invaders in the amount of about UAH 226 million, destroying 100 units of equipment and the enemy manpower.

As a reminder, the start of the fundraising for the “Dronopad” was announced on August 7. The collection is open-ended, and its goal is to shoot down 1,000 enemy reconnaissance UAVs using the modernized FPV drones.

The “Dronopad” project involves not only the purchase of the adapted FPV drones, but also the creation and provision of the cover groups with pickup trucks, communications, power, and night optics.

“FPV drones are an effective solution for fighting enemy scouts, but kamikaze drones alone are not enough,” the foundation emphasized.

Interceptor drones

At the end of September, Militarnyi reported that the soldiers of the 38th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment named after Lieutenant General Yurii Tiutiunnyk from the Operational Command “South” had armed themselves with the interceptor drones.

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters have mastered a new and promising “branch” of air defense, which has proven to be highly effective in a short period of time.

Thus, the soldiers of the Ukrainian Army Air Defense became perhaps the first such unit in the world to use the interceptor drones in combat.

Earlier, on September 16, it was reported that a Ukrainian interceptor drone had shot down an enemy ZALA Lancet loitering munitions over Ukrainian-controlled Sudzha.
