Units of the 11th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and the 34th Kherson Regiment of the National Guard, in cooperation with the 30th Marine Corps, the 34th Borysfen Marine Brigade and the 79th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, delivered a second batch of humanitarian aid to Oleshky.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi reported this.

During the second operation, the military delivered a total of 400 packages weighing nearly 4 tons. The humanitarian aid included food, medicines, and children’s kits.

“I thank everyone who directly took part in this operation: those who delivered the aid, provided cover, ensured engineering support, and handled logistics. Special recognition goes to the crew of the Perun UAV, which during this operation not only delivered food but also rescued six animals from the occupied territory. We also thank communities, educational institutions, benefactors, and volunteers from across the country who collected the humanitarian aid and made this operation possible,” the minister said.

The previous batch of food, weighing about 4 tons, was delivered to occupied Oleshky in late September. However, Russian military personnel are attempting to shoot down the drones carrying the supplies.

The invaders detain Oleshky residents for receiving humanitarian packages, hold them in basements, beat them severely, and subject them to violence.

According to estimates by the regional administration, Russian forces are holding about 2,000 people hostage in occupied Oleshky, including nearly 50 children. They are forced to survive without food, electricity or water.

The city has been on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe for almost a year, since late 2025. The last time food was delivered to Oleshky by road was in late May, when local entrepreneurs managed to enter the city in two commercial vehicles.

Subsequent road delivery attempts failed. During one such attempt, four vehicles hit mines on June 2, killing two people.

Since then, supply has been irregular, and after stocks and garden produce ran out, residents were left on the verge of starvation.

Journalists identified Russian military personnel, including their commanders, who were involved in creating the humanitarian catastrophe in the occupied Oleshky, Kherson region.

The blockade of the city and the deprivation of civilians of food and medicine have been linked to personnel of the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade and the 331st Guards Air Assault Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to the journalists’ investigation, the brigade is commanded by either Col. Oleg Oleksandrov or 43-year-old Konstantin Kochetkov, while the 331st Regiment is commanded by 40-year-old Oleg Morozov, known by the call sign “Kholod.”
