Czechoslovak Group (CSG), together with its partners, presented the new modular multi-layered air defense system Trident at Eurosatory 2026.

The company provided details to Militarnyi.

The system is designed to protect military units, strategic facilities, and large areas from aircraft, helicopters, guided missiles, and drones.

Modularity allows Trident to perform short-, medium-, and long-range air defense functions. Its configuration can vary depending on the customer’s operational requirements.

The project’s strategic partner and supplier of modern anti-aircraft missiles is the Turkish defense company Roketsan. In its standard configuration, Trident uses missiles with thermal (IIR) and active radar homing, which, depending on the type, can engage targets at ranges up to 100 km.

Thanks to this combination, the system can create a multi-layered air defense solution against different types of targets and respond to changing conditions and requirements of the modern battlefield.

One Trident fire battery includes a set of specialized vehicles on an all-wheel-drive chassis. Command and control is carried out using the FCC mobile reconnaissance and fire control center (ReCUBE modular platform).

To detect aerial targets, the battery is equipped with 3D AESA radars from the ReSAURION family — the RSB21 with a detection range of up to 200 km and the RSB41, capable of detecting air threats at ranges of up to 470 km. Firepower is provided by self-propelled MLV launchers with anti-aircraft missiles, supported by MRV transport-loading vehicles and MSV maintenance vehicles.

To counter drones, the Trident system can be supplemented with a ReGUARD tactical radar, automatic cannons firing programmable explosive munitions, and small kinetic interceptor missiles. This allows expensive surface-to-air missiles to be preserved for higher-value targets. The system can also be supplemented with electronic warfare equipment.

The main command element of Trident is the ReCUBE mobile reconnaissance, command, and communications center from Retia. It provides real-time integration of all sensors and weapons via multiple communication channels.

Trident is a product of several CSG companies together with a Turkish partner. The main integrator of the system is Excalibur International, which offers it to customers worldwide. The Czech company Retia manufactures radar stations and command posts.

The entire system is based on the Tatra Force wheeled chassis from Tatra Trucks, while Tatra Defence produces armored cabins and launcher platforms. Anti-aircraft missiles of various types are supplied by the Turkish company Roketsan.
