New Workshops and Warehouses Built at Alabuga Shahed Production Site — Satellite Imagery

New workshops and warehouse facilities have been built at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Russia’s Tatarstan, where invaders produce Shahed-type (Geran) strike UAVs.

Satellite imagery published by the Strategic Aviation Telegram channel supports this.

In addition, the channel says a new road and dozens of warehouse facilities have been completed there since July.

Construction of a new workshop is also underway in the central part of the economic zone.

Over the four years of the full-scale war, Russia has continuously expanded the Alabuga production site to increase drone production, with the UAVs being used to attack Ukraine daily.

In late April–early May this year, another phase of large-scale expansion began there, covering more than 500 hectares.

Satellite imagery currently shows at least 10 new workshops at various stages of construction.

According to satellite imagery from July and August, analyst Spencer Faragasso of the Institute for Science and International Security (Good ISIS) identified the construction of a large-scale counter-drone defense system around Russia’s Geran strike drone production facilities in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

The industrial facility where Russia produces various modifications of Shahed/Geran-type kamikaze drones is located near the city of Yelabuga, approximately 1,200 km from the Ukrainian border.
