Drone operators from the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine’s “Azov” unit struck a concealed Russian fuel and logistics base in the temporarily occupied town of Novoamvrosiivka, in the Donetsk region.
The corps’ press service announced this.
Prior to the attack, Ukrainian operators conducted detailed reconnaissance, after which they carried out a series of precision strikes using Hornet drones.
Russian troops had long used this facility as a logistics hub to stockpile and supply petroleum products supporting the invading forces.
As a result of the attack, the drones damaged fuel tanks and the logistics base’s infrastructure. In addition, the strikes blocked the railroad track through which Russian troops had been supplying logistical resources.
The unit noted that the strike on the facility significantly hampered the supply of the invading forces. According to military assessments, the Russian command has been forced to abandon this logistics hub and relocate part of its supply system to Russian territory.
Militarnyi previously reported that on the night of July 8, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Kuban-Crimea power bridge, the main entry point for electricity from the Russian mainland to the occupied peninsula.
