The Come Back Alive Foundation provided the ‘Artan’ special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine with thermal imaging and daytime optics.
This was reported by the press service of the Foundation in its social media.
More than UAH 8 million were spent on providing this unit.
“Special Forces took part in the “hottest” operations – the soldiers of the ‘Artan’ special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine received a significant boost in the form of thermal imaging and daytime optics devices,” the army aid fund said.
This time, with the funds of the benefactors of the fund, the Ukrainian military was obtained:
Total cost of all equipment – UAH 8 025 201,44.
It was noted that on the account of the soldiers of the ‘Artan’ unit is the participation in the most difficult battles and special operations.
“These, in particular, are battles for Kyiv, the Mykolaiv region, Huliaypole, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Orikhiv, Zmiinyi Island, special operations in the Black Sea, in the Kupiansk direction and a number of other equally important secret special operations, in particular, behind enemy lines,” the Fund noted.
As previously reported, last month the charitable foundation handed over to Ukrainian intelligence a PD-2 UAS, which a mobile control post was added to.
The drones of the system should be used to combat Russian invaders in the waters of the Black Sea: from the occupied Crimea to the south of the Odesa region, and if necessary, then further.
One system cost benefactors almost UAH 30 million.
These are two unmanned aircraft, power system, communications and flight control systems integrated into a minibus with comfortable pilot stations. The control post is based on the Terrastorm all-wheel drive bus from Torsus.
