Sudanese anti-government forces have begun equipping their off-road vehicles with Chinese Wolves Team electronic warfare systems.
Hammer Of War analysts published a photo of this system in Sudan.
In particular, the systems were spotted on the vehicles of the so-called Rapid Support Forces, which previously fought on the side of the official government of Sudan.
The system from Wolves Team is mounted on vehicles and jams multiple drone communication channels simultaneously at a distance of up to 2.5 km due to its high power of 600 watts. This makes it possible to effectively “cut off” drones from operators and disrupt their navigation.
In 2025, the Rapid Support Forces announced the establishment of a parallel “Government of Peace and Unity” that controls a significant part of the country’s territory.
The new administration united armed movements from the regions of Darfur in the west and Kordofan in the central part of the country. Together, these territories cover about 46% of Sudan’s area. The formation of a parallel government indicates a deep split in the country: neither the Rapid Support Forces nor the Sudanese army has a decisive advantage, which complicates the prospects for uniting the state.
Earlier, it was also reported that Chinese short-range air defense systems intended for Chad ended up in the hands of rebels in Sudan.
