A group of Russian marines was captured in Donbas

The Ukrainian military in Donbas defeated Russian marines and took prisoners.

Footage of the POWs was released by Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Zolkin.

Russian prisoners-of-war were serving in the 155th Separate Guards Marines Brigade.

Details of how Russian Marines were imprisoned were not announced.

On February 1, the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces reported that the Ukrainian soldiers defeated the Russian military from the 155th Brigade of the Russian Federation near Vuhledar.

It was also noted that at least ten Russian marines were captured.

“More than a dozen Russian marines were smart enough to surrender in time,” the report said.

The Russian 155th Marine Brigade is currently fighting against Ukrainian forces in the Vuhledar direction.

Recently, soldiers of the Ukrainian 72nd Mechanized Brigade defeated the armored group of Russians in this direction.

The Russians tried to break through the Ukrainian defense using BMP-2, BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, T-80 tanks, and IMR-2 combat engineering vehicles.

The Ukrainian military stopped them between Vuhledar and Mykilske.

Previously, journalists observed the operation of French CAESAR ACSs in the Vuhledar direction. There, the Ukrainian military also uses Stormer HVM anti-aircraft missile systems to defend against the air attacks of Russian invaders.
