Soldiers of the National Guard, who carry out combat missions on the eastern part of the Russian-Ukrainian war front, received a batch of quadcopters.
Drones were handed over as part of the Drones of the Guard project.
This is a joint initiative of Ukrainian business and the leadership of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The drones arrived at the units of the Eastern operational-territorial unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The military of these units is constantly involved in combat with the Russian invaders, so they have a huge need for drones for various purposes.
“Due to the density of fire and the enemy’s radio-electronic warfare, a drone on the front has an average “life” of 72 hours,” the National Guard of Ukraine noted.
Drones will, in particular, be delivered to military personnel performing combat missions in the Kreminna district of the Luhansk region.
“We are handing over most of the drones of this, far from the last batch, to the 3rd Brigade of Operational Assignmen (Spartan Brigade). We also handed over a share of the UAVs to the 5th Slobozhan Brigade, the personnel of which is fighting on a very difficult part of the front in the Luhansk region,” Colonel Valentyn Ostryzhniy, acting commander, deputy commander of the National Guard of Ukraine for work with personnel, shared.
The National Guard noted that the driving force behind the Drones of the Guard project is Ukrainian entrepreneurs from the film industry. They are actively promoting it in the West.
“At the beginning of this year, the National Guard Command and I launched the Drones of the Guard project. We saw that drones are very effective and are saving the lives of soldiers, and therefore we focused on them. Our goal is to purchase 1,000 drones. This is the first batch,” says Ukrainian producer and volunteer Taras Bosak.
According to him, several businesses were involved in the project. Charity concerts and film screenings are also held, where people contribute with their donations. The foreign colleagues are helping the Ukrainian volunteers, in particular, the French director Philippe Azoulay.
“Union of Entrepreneurs of the TV and Film Industry” was the initiator of the project. It was joined by the Aurora trade network, the TAVR MEDIA radio group, and the VIDI car dealership.
