In eastern Crimea, a Russian Mohajer-6 Iranian-made drone fell down.

According to the occupation authorities, the drone was jammed by the Russian electronic warfare system.

“In the eastern part of Crimea, enemy UAVs were jammed and landed by the EW system. There are no casualties and no destruction. I ask you to keep calm and trust only verified sources of information,” Sergey Aksenov, head of the occupation authorities, wrote.

The Russian invaders presumably did not realize that they have neutralized the drone that was supplied to Russia by Iran.

Currently, the Russian Federation uses drones acquired from Iran in the war against Ukraine.

The use of some of them has already been confirmed, including Shahed-131, Shahed-136, and Mohajer-6. In September last year, Ukrainian forces managed to capture one Mohajer-6.

This drone, whose manufacture was launched in 2017, is designed to conduct reconnaissance, surveillance, and fire engagement (it carries up to four munitions).

Mohajer-6 has a maximum takeoff weight of 600 kg, a payload of 100 kg, and a range of 200 km. It has a maximum speed of 200 km/h, a flight duration of 12 hours, with a maximum flight altitude of 5400 m.

Earlier, Rotax Aircraft Engines products were discovered in a captured Iranian drone.

The UAV is equipped with a camera with a multispectral sensor, a laser rangefinder, and two hardpoints: one under each wing. Ghaem-5 bombs were installed on the captured drone.

The inside of the drone is mainly foreign. The drone has Japanese, Chinese, and American cameras and a laser rangefinder. These are mainly civilian components, not considered military goods.

In November last year, it was reported that Moscow agreed with Tehran to produce Iranian combat unmanned aerial vehicles in Russia.
