The Ukrainian company Vyriy Industries has become a founding member of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance.

The decision to include the Ukrainian manufacturer was made by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defense Industry and Space, as reported to Militarnyi by the company.

The creation of the Alliance is an initiative of the European Commission aimed at deepening the integration of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex into the European defense, technology, and industrial base.

The new alliance aims to strengthen coordination and cooperation between Ukrainian and European developers, manufacturers, and research organizations in the field of unmanned systems.

The founding members will be involved in forming the Alliance’s governing bodies and defining the priority areas for its future activities.

Among the alliance’s main objectives are the exchange of operational and technological expertise, the development of joint projects, the strengthening of component supply chains, and the attraction of European investment.

The “Drone Deal between Ukraine and the EU” brought together 18 founding companies from Ukraine and European Union member states.

In particular, the Ukrainian company Skyfall, known as the developer of the Vampire heavy bombers, joined the list of co-founders of the newly formed alliance.

Also joining the alliance are the Ukrainian drone manufacturer TAF Industries and the German company Quantum Systems.

The European segment of the Alliance is represented by ORQA d.o.o., Indra Group, Fincantieri, WB Electronics/WB Group, Destinus, Delair, RSI Europe, and TERMA A/S.

On the Ukrainian side, in addition to Vyriy Industries and the companies listed above, the co-founders include Greentech Harvest, Tencore, Deviro, “Atlon Avia,” UFORCE, and F-Drones.

The collaboration will be built on combining Ukraine’s experience in developing and deploying drones on a large scale in combat conditions with the industrial and financial potential of its European partners.
