Quantum Systems has become a founding member of a new European industrial alliance dedicated to developing unmanned and anti-drone technologies.

The company told Militarnyi that it will share more than five years of experience working in Ukraine with the alliance.

The creation of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance was announced at the Third EU-Ukraine Defense Industry Forum in Kyiv. The alliance’s goal is to accelerate the development of a robust European ecosystem for unmanned and anti-drone technologies.

The initiative has brought together leading drone manufacturers, technology companies, startups, and research organizations.

“Quantum Systems will actively participate in shaping the alliance’s strategic direction, priorities, and governance structure,” the company stated.

Since launching operations in Ukraine in 2022, the company has been steadily expanding its local presence: increasing production capacity, integrating Ukrainian suppliers and software developers, and deepening industrial cooperation. Together with Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI), Quantum Systems established the first-ever European-Ukrainian joint venture as part of the “Build with Ukraine” defense industry cooperation program.

The creation of several additional joint ventures between Quantum Systems and Ukrainian industrial partners was also recently announced.

“We manufacture together with Ukraine, not just for Ukraine. Combining Europe’s industrial capacity with innovations born on the battlefield in Ukraine enables us to build the necessary capabilities at the pace demanded by modern warfare, while strengthening European sovereignty,” the company stated.

The EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance includes nine leading Ukrainian and European companies.

The initiative is part of Europe’s broader efforts to build a resilient and sovereign defense-industrial base. It complements projects such as the European Drone Defense Initiative and the Drone and Counter-Drone Capability Coalition, which are led by European Union member states.
