Ukrainian drone manufacturer TAF Industries has joined the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance as a founding member.

This was reported in the company’s press release.

The alliance between the European Union, Ukrainian, and European companies will accelerate the development and production of next-generation drones and counter-drone systems, providing Ukraine with the capabilities it needs today while strengthening Europe’s defense readiness for the future.

TAF Industries is ready to actively support the Alliance through initiatives aimed at creating added value for Europe’s defense sector, while operating within the framework of current Ukrainian legislation.

Going forward, the European Commission will collaborate with Ukrainian partners and the European drone user community in preparation for the first meeting of the 18 founding members, scheduled for September in Brussels.

“Strengthening cooperation with European partners shows that today we are not only being heard, but the value of our experience and the seriousness of future threats are also being understood. We expect the Alliance to facilitate the creation of joint production sites with European partners both in Ukraine and in the EU,” Volodymyr Zinovsky, CEO of TAF Industries, notes.

The selected Ukrainian participants also include SkyFall, Tencore, Deviro, Vyriy Industries, UFORCE, F-Drones, Greentech Harvest, and ATHLON AVIA.

“Our partnership in the defense industry integrates Ukraine’s defense economy just as we are integrating our markets: by removing barriers and harmonizing our standards as quickly as possible—from defense procurement to intellectual property protection. This enables closer cooperation between our defense sectors and joint ventures,” Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, stated.

The announcement of the drone agreement, signed on July 15, took place on June 9 amid the signing of a defense agreement between Ukraine and Latvia, which also provides for the transfer of Ukrainian expertise in countering drones.
