The Ukrainian company SkyFall, known as the developer of the Vampire heavy drone bombers, has joined the list of co-founders of the newly established EU–Ukraine Drone Alliance.

The company shared this with Militarnyi.

The main goal of the new Alliance is to deepen cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the fields of unmanned systems, electronic warfare technologies, and counter-UAV measures.

The Alliance’s work will focus on developing joint defense technologies, industrial cooperation, localizing production, strengthening component supply chains, and integrating Ukraine’s defense industry into the European defense-industrial base.

As a co-founder of the alliance, SkyFall will play a direct role in defining its strategic direction and forming specialized working groups.

The Ukrainian company is confident that its experience and engineering expertise will become one of the cornerstones of Europe’s new unmanned technology ecosystem.

According to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, it is Ukraine’s practical combat experience with unmanned systems that should serve as the basis for developing the capabilities of the European defense industry.

She emphasized that Ukraine is a global technology leader in the field of drones, while the European Union is ready to provide the necessary financial instruments, industrial sites, and opportunities for large-scale production.

The first board of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance includes 18 companies—9 Ukrainian and 9 European: Skyfall Industries, ORQA d.o.o., Indra Group, Fincantieri, WB Electronics / WB Group, Destinus, Delair, RSI Europe, TERMA A/S, Quantum Systems, Greentech Harvest, Tencore, Deviro, Vyriy Industries, ATHLON AVIA, TEHAVTOFART PIVDEN (TAF Industries), UFORCE, and F-Drones.

On July 15, Ursula von der Leyen also announced the signing of a bilateral agreement between the European Union and Ukraine on the joint production of unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition, last month, SkyFall and Poland’s Bank of National Economy (BGK) signed a memorandum regarding securing EU funds to finance Ukrainian defense technologies.

SkyFall’s best-known development is the Vampire heavy-strike drone. In addition, the company manufactures Shrike FPV drones, P1-SUN interceptors, as well as communication systems and other components for unmanned aerial systems.
