Ukrainian Troops in Pokrovsk Direction Aim to Create 100-Kilometer Kill Zone

The task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk direction is to create a logistical lockdown for the enemy and establish a 100-kilometer kill zone.

This was stated by Yevhen Lasiychuk, commander of the 7th Air Assault Corps and Hero of Ukraine, in an interview with Militarnyi.

According to him, the key task at the moment is to cut off logistical routes around the Pokrovsk agglomeration, as the enemy is constantly trying to advance and bring in ammunition, equipment and personnel.

Lasiychuk noted that it is much more effective to destroy the enemy at a long distance, before it has dispersed into small assault groups or infiltration “twos.”

For this reason, it is necessary to establish a 100-kilometer kill zone using middle strike drones, long-range tube artillery and rocket artillery.

The corps has already established an organizational and staffing structure for middle strike units that use drones with light, medium and heavy warheads.

Earlier, on July 10, it was reported that the corps had received FP-2 strike drones.

Russian logistics in this direction are already facing problems.

The enemy has begun using drones more actively for logistical support, in particular multicopters, but they are being successfully intercepted.

Due to constant Ukrainian strikes, difficulties are already being reported with the deployment of command posts, in particular because of their destruction by aerial bombs.

In addition, drone control antennas and satellite terminals are systematically being hit. According to Lasiychuk, units of the 7th Corps destroy about 20 such targets in just 24 hours.

To effectively engage the enemy within the 100-kilometer zone, the corps is consistently increasing its own intelligence capabilities by developing a network of unmanned systems, OSINT, agent intelligence and other means of obtaining intelligence information.
