The Ukrainian multi-purpose sea surface drone Seawolf was presented in Greece.

This took place at the DEFEA 2025 exhibition in Athens, according to Army Recognition.

It is a modular platform that can be adapted to perform various tasks at sea.

Developed by the Ukrainian defense company Nordex, Seawolf is a platform designed to carry out a range of maritime missions. Company representatives emphasized that Seawolf incorporated lessons learned from Ukraine’s ongoing wartime experience, having combined battlefield-tested reliability with versatile design.

The base model of the Seawolf drone features a 7.5-meter hull, 2.2-meter beam, and 0.52-meter hull height. It is powered by a 270-horsepower diesel engine and carries up to 1,400 liters of fuel, giving it a stated operational range of over 1,600 kilometers. The total payload capacity is up to 1,650 kilograms, with a dedicated combat payload of 450 kilograms.

The system is built on a core platform whose critical components — including the hull, engine, propulsion, communications suite, optics, and control systems — remain constant.

While the upper deck is designed in such a way as to ensure the installation of various weapons and equipment according to needs.

Such a modular approach is aimed at reducing the time of adaptation to new configurations and reducing maintenance costs.

Based on this surface platform, drones adapted for specific missions can be produced. Among them: air defense boat; Seawolf R; cover boat Seawolf MG; cover boat Seawolf MGR with integrated radar; the Seawolf EW electronic warfare boat, as well as the Seawolf M destroyer and the Seawolf D cargo carrier (drones).

In addition, Nordex unveiled the Seawolf Extended Platform, a larger 9.5-meter variant under development. It will feature a payload capacity of up to 4,000 kilograms and an operational range of approximately 1,500 kilometers.

Planned armament includes four AIM-9 air-to-air missiles, a turret-mounted 12.7 mm M2 machine gun, or modular launchers for FPV drones or precision-guided munitions. This variant is intended for border defense, surveillance, and complex tactical missions.
