The village of Rohan in the Kharkiv region was liberated from the Russian invaders – Head of the Regional State Administration

The settlement, which had suffered significant damage from Russian invaders’ attacks, is returning back to life.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine have completely liberated the village of Rohan in the Kharkiv region from the invaders, as mentioned by Oleh Syniegubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration on April 15.

Syniehubov showed the pictures featuring the destruction of the village – a kindergarten and a school with shells in the yards, and explosion craters where houses used to be located.

The local water supply tower used to serve as an enemy sniper’s position during the occupation. At the moment, the assessment and accounting of the destroyed infrastructure facilities, including enterprises, is ongoing.

It is noted that approximately 50% of buildings are left almost without roofs, 70% are without windows. 27 were also burnt out by direct shelling. There are also lots of damaged houses in the village of Dokuchaievske.

“Yesterday (April 14, – Ed.) the power supply re-appeared here for the first time. Currently, local authorities and utility providers are doing their best to fully provide residents with electricity, water, and gas.”

The Head of the Regional State Administration also added that food supplies are being delivered from the regional logistics center. Almost 2,500 food sets have already been handed over.

“Russians had ruthlessly destroyed the settlement. Under the Ukrainian flag, we will gradually and jointly rebuild everything!” Oleh Synegubov emphasized.

For reference: Rohan is an urban-type settlement in Ukraine (Kharkiv district of the Kharkiv region). It serves as an administrative center of the Rohan village territorial community.
