The Security Service of Ukraine issued a notice of suspicion for two citizens from Kupiansk who had agreed to cooperate with Russia.

They voluntarily took up positions under the occupation of the so-called “temporary military administration of the Kharkiv region.”

It was established that a 55-year-old local resident defected to the enemy shortly after the capture of Kupiansk by Russian invasion forces.

He voluntarily took the post of head of the State Enterprise “Kupiansk Forestry” and offered others to work in the farm created by the invaders.

The 47-year-old local resident also voluntarily sided with the enemy and agreed to the post of chief accountant of the above mentioned SE.

Now both malefactors are hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, hiding behind Russian troops.

They were notified in absentia of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Exposure and documentation of illegal activities was carried out by officers of the SSU Department in the Kharkiv Region.

It should be recalled that the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the liberation of the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv Region from Russian occupation.

Ukrainian fighters from the 1st Battalion of the 92nd Brigade raised the state flag over the City Council of Kupiansk.

The Commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel General Alexander Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that now only half of Kupiansk has been taken under the control of Ukrainian forces.

Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are continuing counter-offensive actions to cut off the Izium group of Russians troops from strategic logistics centers.
