The Russians are strengthening the “line of defense” in the Belgorod region

The Russians continue building defense structure fortifications in the Belgorod region on the border with Ukraine.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, the regional governor of the Russian Federation, released new figures on the construction of the “line of defense”.

He stated that the defensive lines are being formed due to the tense situation in the region, including numerous shellings.

According to Gladkov, work on various areas has been underway since April of this year and “is being carried out on a large scale.”

The photos released by the Russian governor show trenches being dug in the cross-country and the anti-tank embankments – concrete structures in the shape of a pyramid – being installed along the road.

The photo shows that one of the excavated trenches is filled with water, and it was probably flooded by groundwater.

It should be noted that back in October, Russia demonstratively started showing the process of developing the so-called “line of defense” in the Belgorod region near the border with Ukraine.

The photos and videos demonstrated that the Russians were unloading concrete anti-tank embankments. They were being laid out in two lines at a distance of 2-3 meters away from each other without being buried in the ground.

The Russians claimed that these fortification defense structures would be combined into an echelon defense and that there would be several such lines.

According to the curator, the construction of these fortifications in the Belgorod region was supposed to be a continuation of the so-called “Wagner line”, which the Russians started building in the occupied part of the Luhansk region in the fall.

Russian propagandists claim that the line of defense will be equipped from the Russian-Ukrainian border to Kreminna, and then south to Svitlodarsk. This is more than 200 kilometers.

The Russian invaders involved MDK-3 engineering vehicles in the construction of fortifications. These are mounted rotary cross-digging trench excavators.
