The “bad day” for the Russian aviation – the Ka-52 was shot down

Paratroopers have destroyed a Russian Ka-52 ‘Alligator’ attack helicopter near the town of Izium in the Kharkiv Region.

The relevant statement was made by the officer of the 95th Air Assault Brigade Yuriy Kochevenko.

According to him, the helicopter was destroyed with the Polish man-portable air-defense system Piorun.

Kochevenko made it clear that the successful launch made a mobile crew that uses pickup cars to move:

“In general, now we can talk about it, the tactics of mobile teams with MANPADS in pickups (we are really grateful for the pickups to our volunteers and patrons ❤️), was an unpleasant surprise for the enemy and his aircrafts. Someday, maybe in my memoirs, I will reveal a lot of interesting things about it.”

As previously reported, Ukraine is creating mobile teams equipped with the Mistral MANPADS.

Meanwhile, in the Russian specialized aviation community, this day has been called “bad” for Russian pilots. And made it clear that some pilots of the Russian Air Force will not return from flights. As previously reported by the Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet shot down a Russian Su-35 in the skies of the Kherson Region.

Later, the same community released a video with a “mourning” mood with the flight of a pair of Su-25. Therefore, it is possible that in addition to the fighter jet and attack helicopter, the Defense Forces today also destroyed jet aircraft of the enemy.
