Soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received 20 Shark reconnaissance UAVs from the Come Back Alive Foundation.
The charity’s press service announced this on its social media pages.
The drones will help aerial reconnaissance officers track the movement of enemy weapons and equipment in the rear.
The cost of the drones is UAH 54,496,406.
Come Back Alive noted that these reconnaissance drones, manufactured by the Ukrainian company, are capable of tracking even moving enemy targets using adaptive tracking.
The Foundation added that this is the only electric aircraft in this war that can stay in the air for up to 7 hours.
“These planes are already set up for operation. They maintain a stable connection in the EW environment, which reduces the likelihood of a video stream being lost. They also have a long flight range and a high-quality camera,” the Special Operations Forces soldiers add.
The Shark will help the Special Operations Forces fighters to conduct aerial reconnaissance, adjust the fire of precision weapons, and hunt down the “fattest” targets.
One of the reconnaissance drones of this type, previously donated by the Come Back Alive Foundation, helped destroy two Russian air defense systems – Osa and Strela-10.
This Shark operated as part of the 150th reconnaissance and strike battalion in the Donetsk region.
