Soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Marko Bezruchko repelled a Russian assault in the Donetsk region.
A video of the defeat of a convoy of Russian military equipment was published by the brigade’s unmanned systems battalion.
The operators of the brigade’s FPV drones were directly involved in the elimination of the Russian invaders and the destruction of their military equipment.
At night, the Russians attempted to advance toward Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsk sector.
However, Ukrainian defenders detected the movement of a convoy of Russian military equipment and began to attack it with attack drones and other means of destruction.
Ukrainian UAVs destroyed most of the military equipment used by the enemy to break through the defense in this area of the frontline in the Donetsk region.
In July, soldiers of the 110th Mechanized Brigade shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft that was attacking Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk region.
The operator of a man-portable air defense system hit a Russian attack aircraft that was performing a combat mission in the Pokrovsk sector.
The footage shows how the fired missile exploded near the left wing and tail section of the Su-25, after which it burst into flames.
The aircraft was critically damaged and crashed near the village of New York.
The pilot managed to eject and was evacuated by a search and rescue team.
The Pokrovsk sector remains one of the most active along the entire combat line with the Russian invaders. The Ukrainian General Staff said that since the beginning of the day on August 17, the Russian invaders have already made 25 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions. As of this evening, the defense forces have already repelled 14 Russian attacks.
