Debris marked Geran-4 was found in Moldova at the site where a drone exploded on September 30.
This was reported by the Moldovan police.
Near the village of Ivanca in Moldova’s Orhei District, experts examined the site of the drone explosion and found numerous pieces of the aircraft bearing markings indicating its Russian origin.
The explosion created a crater approximately 50 centimeters in diameter and about 30 centimeters deep.
The blast wave damaged trees up to 30 meters away, and signs of thermal damage were also observed on them.
Experts found two more craters, approximately 50 and 30 centimeters in diameter, on the roadside about 15 meters from the main explosion site.
Within a radius of up to 120 meters, experts discovered numerous drone parts. Among them were parts of the rear wing sections marked Geran-4, electronic units, and components of the power plant.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that on the morning of September 30, a drone exploded in Moldova after it violated the country’s airspace during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine. No one was injured in the explosion. At that time, at least two drones violated the airspace of Moldova. Another drone was detected near the village of Lunga in the Dubossary District.
The Moldovan National Army reported that monitoring systems detected the drone flying through the country’s airspace.
This is not the first time a drone has exploded on Moldovan territory.
On September 18 at approximately 4:20 a.m., local residents of the village of Kolonitsa, located less than 2 km from Chisinau, reported a powerful explosion.
Later, additional parts of the drone bearing Russian inscriptions, including its engine, were found at the site.
