Strike drones struck the Saky Thermal Power Plant near the city of Saky in occupied Crimea, triggering a fire.

The Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported that local residents heard 16 explosions in the area around the power plant before flames erupted at the site.

NASA’s FIRMS fire monitoring system also confirmed and detected the fire, recording it at approximately 03:13 a.m.

The Saky Thermal Power Plant is one of the key energy facilities in western Crimea, with an installed generating capacity of 149.4 MW.

This is not the first attack on the facility. The first documented strike occurred on October 13, 2025, followed by another series of attacks between November 3 and 16, 2025.

Satellite imagery from those earlier attacks revealed significant damage to a section of the plant’s main building at the power facility.
