Russians are building an embankment bridge near the city of Henichesk, which is intended to connect temporarily occupied areas of the Kherson region with annexed Crimea.

This is evidenced by a satellite image from Vantor, published by George Barros, an OSINT researcher and representative of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The embankment under construction to the Arabat Spit is part of Russian land logistics in the south.

The structure is being built directly next to the automobile bridge, which was damaged by a series of Ukrainian drone strikes.

It is intended to ensure the movement of vehicles, primarily trucks, supplying logistics to both the temporarily occupied peninsula and southern mainland Ukraine, where Russian forces continue their offensive operations.

The photo taken on June 21 also captures a pontoon vehicle crossing on the other side of the damaged stationary bridge, which the Russians deployed several weeks earlier.

However, the pontoon crossing remains vulnerable to Ukrainian drone strikes using high-explosive warheads.

Therefore, Russian forces have apparently decided to build a new fixed structure, which they expect to be easier to repair after further strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The day before, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine published footage showing drone operators from the Active Operations Department striking trucks at the entrance to temporarily occupied Crimea.

In particular, at a pontoon crossing near another damaged bridge in the Chonhar area, which also connects the Kherson region with the Crimean peninsula.

In addition, Special Operations Forces members, using medium-range strike drones, destroyed a railway bridge in Crimea near the settlement of Rozdolne, which passed over the North Crimean Canal.

The Russian military command used this route for the operational transfer of materiel and personnel.
