Russia Launches First Mass Attack on Zaporizhzhia Using Jet-Powered Shaheds

Russian occupation forces carried out a massive attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia using jet-powered drones. According to preliminary information, the enemy used Shahed/Geran-3 strike drones for this attack.

This was reported by the local Telegram channel “ZAPORIZHZHIA.INFO”.

During the attack, strikes on the city’s civilian infrastructure were recorded; in particular, a Russian FPV drone attacked a passenger trolleybus. According to preliminary data, no one was injured.

It is currently known that the regional center was attacked by at least several jet-powered kamikaze drones.

There are also reports of some Russian drones being successfully shot down.

Russia plans to significantly increase the use of jet strike drones in air attacks on Ukraine — their share could reach 50%.

According to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, the invaders are constantly changing their tactics for using UAVs, increasing their numbers, and improving their capabilities, which complicates the work of Ukrainian air defense.
