Russia Launches Massive Combined Strike on Industrial Facilities in Dnipropetrovsk Region

Russian forces launched a combined overnight attack on September 22, targeting the cities of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Pavlohrad, and Kremenchuk.

Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported the attack.

According to monitoring sources, the Russian military used ballistic missiles, Banderol missiles, Oniks missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and attack drones.

Strikes hit industrial facilities in Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad.

The attacks sparked fires. Three people were initially reported injured in Dnipro, but the number of wounded later rose to six. Four people were killed.

Rescue teams are continuing search-and-rescue operations at the damaged industrial facilities, as people may still be trapped under the rubble.

At around 2:00 a.m., the military detected high-speed targets moving toward the Dnipropetrovsk region.

At 1:58 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic missile launches from the Voronezh region.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, starting at 6:00 p.m. on September 21, Russian forces launched Oniks anti-ship missiles from the Rostov region, Iskander-M, S-400, and KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk, Rostov, and Voronezh regions, as well as four Kalibr cruise missiles from the waters of the Caspian Sea.

Russian forces also used eight Banderol/Dan-T drones from the airspace over the Belgorod region and 212 Shahed-type attack drones, including jet-powered versions, as well as Parodya decoy drones.

The missiles and drones were launched from areas near Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, temporarily occupied Donetsk, Hvardiiske, and Chauda in Crimea.

As of 8:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had destroyed or suppressed 186 aerial targets. These included one Kalibr cruise missile, eight Banderol/Dan-T drones, and 177 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones.

In Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s Defense Council, reported the missile attack. According to him, the city was initially targeted with ballistic missiles, followed by an additional strike by Russian forces using cruise missiles.
