Reconnaissance men received a batch of Ukrainian “Sich” UAVs

The Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation has handed over a batch of domestic Sich drones to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

This was reported by the organization’s press service.

The intelligence officers received 10 aircraft to perform strike functions in the interests of the Defense Forces.

They were purchased thanks to a donation from a regular benefactor of the foundation, who wished to remain incognito.

The total cost of the batch of 10 Ukrainian-made Sich attack drones amounted to UAH 11,320,000.

“We thank the anonymous donor for the contribution. And a huge respect and gratitude to the guys and girls from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine who work every day to make sure that we have fewer enemies!” Prytula wrote on Facebook.

Earlier this year, the DIU said that the Sich had originally been intended for reconnaissance, but had later been modified and was used as a strike and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle.

These UAVs have been used by the Ukrainian defense for a long time, including for strikes on the occupiers’ rear.

According to the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov, in strike mode, the Sich can fly to a depth of 50 kilometers behind enemy lines and is resistant to enemy electronic warfare.

The Ukrainian Special Forces use it to destroy both manpower and enemy armored vehicles.

Yusov emphasized that the Sichs had proven themselves well. Therefore, the DIU has trained crews and instructors who teach new operators how to use these drones.

As a reconnaissance drone, Sych is capable of flying deep behind enemy lines, covering distances of up to 200 kilometers and providing high-quality photography.
