Police shows shelling aftermath in Donetsk Region

Over the past day, the Donetsk Region Police has documented seven enemy strikes at the settlements of the Donetsk Region.

The enemy hit Toretsk, Siversk, Avdiivka, Ptyche, Bohoyavlenko, Orlivka, and New York.

Records show that the enemy used Uragan MLRS.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

There are casualties among civilians. 20 residential buildings and civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed.

15 private houses, a coke plant, and a power plant were damaged.

The police and the SSU started criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As a result of the shelling, 335 settlements had power blackouts.

The Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kirilenko said that the power lines around Toretsk were damaged causing shutdowns at the NPC Ukrenergo electrical substations throughout the region.

Power blackouts were registered at the largest cities of the region – Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Konstantinovka, Druzhkivka, Bakhmut.

“Russians purposefully strike critical infrastructure objects to complicate the lives of those who still remain in the region,” Pavlo Kirilenko said.

Emergency services are working to restore the power supply, but their work is complicated by the security situation.
