Drones Strike Fuel Depot in Rostov Region Used by Russian 104th Logistics Support Brigade

On the night of May 30, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck fuel storage tanks used by the 104th Logistics Support Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces.

The Dossye Shpiona Telegram channel reported an attack on an enemy military logistics facility in the Rostov region and published photos of the aftermath.

According to available information, fuel storage for Russian military needs was organized at the Agroproduct LLC civilian oil depot. The facility is located in Matveyev Kurgan, near the border with Ukraine.

The settlement is an important railway and road hub in the Rostov region, serving as a key logistical hub supplying Russian forces in the Donbas.

The destruction of fuel tanks is expected to affect the pace of fuel deliveries to military equipment in this sector of the front line.

The attack was carried out using six drones and hit up to three storage tanks. According to available data, there were no reported casualties.

The 104th Logistics Support Brigade (military unit 11387) is part of the Russian Eastern Military District. Its permanent base is in Chita, in the Transbaikal region.

The brigade was formed in 2011 as part of a reform aimed at consolidating logistics units into a single structure. Its primary role is providing comprehensive logistical support to combat units of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army.

Its responsibilities include delivering ammunition, fuel, lubricants, food, and equipment to combat zones. The brigade also organizes field services such as food provision, laundry, bath facilities, and evacuation of damaged equipment.

Structurally, the brigade consists of automobile battalions, material support battalions, and specialized companies responsible for deploying field warehouses.

Before the full-scale invasion, the unit regularly supported large-scale exercises at training ranges in Siberia and the Russian Far East.

Since 2022, elements of the brigade have been actively involved in the war in Ukraine, providing logistics support to the Vostok group.
