Satellite images showed the destruction of Russian equipment at a military airfield near Kherson in the village of Chornobaivka.

NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS), which tracks large fires around the world, has taken images of destroyed Russian military helicopters.

It happened at the Kherson International Airport in the village of Chornobaivka near Kherson, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that the photos were taken on Tuesday, March 15, at 13:42 local time.

Yesterday it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted a fire defeat on the forces of the occupiers concentrated at the military airfield near Kherson.

It is the most destructive known strike of the Ukrainian military has conducted against Russian helicopters during the war.

An unidentified number of Russian helicopters at the airport were destroyed as a result of artillery shelling.

Several military vehicles were also hit near the airport.

The day before, on March 14, satellite images from Maxar Technologies showed the presence of Russian military helicopters at the airport, and dozens of enemy military equipment were also visible on its outskirts.
