Russian troops attempted to break through the defenses of the 3rd Army Corps near the village of Stavy in the Lyman district of the Donetsk region.
According to the 63rd Mechanized Brigade, a mechanized column supported by armored vehicles organized the offensive.
Soldiers of the 63rd and 60th separate mechanized brigades, supported by artillery from the 45th brigade, immediately opened fire on the enemy.
The first armored personnel carrier was blown up in a minefield, and the rest of the equipment was hit by artillery fire.
While the Russian infantry scattered, FPV drones entered the battle. They finished off the armored vehicles, destroying a Russian tank with two hits to the hull and a control shot to the turret.
Heavy strike drones finished off the remaining enemy forces. The footage shows burning equipment and disorganized Russians trying to escape.
According to preliminary data, several armored vehicles and up to twenty invaders were destroyed during the assault. Video from the scene confirms the complete failure of the enemy attack.
Ukrainian defenders held their ground and prevented the enemy from advancing. The coordination of artillery and drones ensured the rapid destruction of the column.
The assault failed, and the line of defense held. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold their positions and destroy the enemy in the Donetsk region.
Last week, operators of unmanned systems of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade also detected and destroyed several enemy vehicles at once.
