Kosovo-based drone manufacturer Ridvan Aliu has announced the start of production of four different types of drones in the country.

According to him, the new devices will have different capabilities and purposes, including use in the defense sector, Koha reports.

Aliu explained that production started with the development of smaller FPV drones, while larger models are still in development. Among them are a device with a wingspan of five meters and another with a wingspan of 14 meters.

The five-meter model is called Vitol. It is capable of flying up to 20 kilometers and will soon be tested at sea for flights of up to 1,000 kilometers, as such tests cannot be conducted in Kosovo. The drone can carry up to 50 kilograms of payload.

Aliu also mentioned the Skifteri project, which is focused on the needs of the Ministry of Defense and could potentially be exported abroad.

Another model currently in development is the K1 kamikaze drone. It will have a flight range of up to 1,000 kilometers with a payload capacity of 30 kilograms.
