The Unmanned Systems Forces targeted nine tankers belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet in the Sea of Azov during the night of July 8.

According to the Ukrainian military, a total of 21 vessels have been hit over the past three days.

They include 19 shadow fleet tankers, one cargo ship, and one ferry in Kerch, according to Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.

The operation involved drone operators from the Kairos, Raid, and the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center units.

The primary objective of these strikes is to disrupt the logistics that Russia uses to supply the temporarily occupied Crimea.

A distinctive feature of the shadow fleet’s tanker movements is their dense clustering in the middle of the sea. This tactic significantly simplifies the work of Ukrainian FP-2 drone operators.

During the night of July 7, pilots from the Kairos unit of the 414th Birds of Magyar Unmanned Systems Brigade also struck eight tankers, a cargo ship, and a ferry.
