During the night of July 7, drone operators from the Kairos unit of the 414th Unmanned Systems Brigade, known as the Birds of Magyar, struck eight fuel tankers, a bulk carrier, and a ferry in the Sea of Azov.
Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, reported the operation on his social media accounts.
The targets were hit using FP-2 medium-range strike drones during the operation in the Sea of Azov.
Magyar stated that these actions are part of an effort to disrupt fuel supplies to Russian forces in occupied Crimea.
All of the targeted tankers have been identified and are under international sanctions. Each vessel has a deadweight capacity of 7,000 tons, measures approximately 140 meters in length, and was built between 2006 and 2012.
As a result of the overnight strikes, fires and damage were reported aboard the Russian vessels.
The identified vessels include Venera-3, Sanar-1, Sanar-17, Klimena, Teti, Aleksey Savrasov, and Penelopa.
